A beginner-friendly Assault built on the Death's Grasp Power Fist, a Heroic weapon that marks a target for a gun strike after each finisher, so parry, finish and gun strike repeat. Armour Reinforcement turns every gun strike into armour, Defence Mechanism slows the fade of contested health, Act of Attrition makes enemies hit by sprinting or dashing melee take 25% more damage, and Proven Efficiency raises the squad's gun strike damage. The gear row is about the ground pound: Smiting Angel, Zealous Blow and Pride in Duty, with Commitment returning jump pack charge for dash dodges.
Strengths: forgiving survivability and steady gun strike damage. Weaknesses: no primary weapon, and the Plasma Pistol is weak against headshot targets.
Loadout (every slot is filled; notes in brackets say where a pick is ours or one of his either/or choices)
- Secondary: Plasma Pistol
- Melee: Power Fist
- Core: Armour Reinforcement
- Core: Defence Mechanism
- Core: Act of Attrition
- Team: Proven Efficiency
- Gear: Smiting Angel
- Gear: Zealous Blow
- Gear: Pride in Duty
- Signature: Commitment
- Prestige: Unyielding Oath
- Prestige: Fortitude
- Prestige: Scrambled Targeting (the creator's first-named choice; Practiced Aim is his alternative)
- Prestige: Practiced Aim (our pick for the fourth slot: his damage option, because the perk he always takes there, Hammer of Wrath, is not in the planner's data)
The creator treats the third prestige perk as a choice and names Scrambled Targeting first (Practiced Aim is the damage alternative); the link uses Scrambled Targeting. He also always takes Hammer of Wrath, which is not in the planner's data. He suggests a bolt pistol over the Plasma Pistol against Tyranids. The planner shows Heroic weapon variants as their base weapon, and the link does not include weapon perk trees.
